President of Republic Issues Decrees on Promotions and Appointments of Serbian Armed Forces Officers

President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, issued decrees on promotions and appointments to new positions of the Serbian Armed Forces officers.

The decrees have been handed over today by Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić in the presence of Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović. They congratulated the officers on their promotions and appointments, which are the result of their professional work, dedication and responsible attitude toward their service, wishing them every success in the rest of their professional careers.

By Presidential Decree, Major General Željko Furundžić was appointed Head of the Military Academy, while Colonel Vladimir Vukajlović was appointed Guard Commander. Colonel Jovica Kepčija was promoted to the rank of brigadier general.

Major General Željko Furundžić was born on December 16, 1974 in Bijelo Polje. He has been in professional military service since 1997. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1997, completed the Command and Staff Course in 2010, and General Staff Course in 2019. Until now, he has been Guard Commander.

Brigadier General Jovica Kepčija was born on October 30, 1975 in Sisak. He has been in professional military service since 1998. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1998, and completed the General Staff Course in 2009. He is appointed as Commander of the 126th ASEWG Brigade.

Colonel Vladimir Vukajlović was born on September 15, 1975 in Subotica. He has been in professional military service since 1998. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1998, completed his master studies in 2013, his doctoral thesis in 2018, and Advanced Security and Defense Studies in 2025. So far, he has been Deputy Guard Commander.
