The Multinational Tactical Exercise Platinum Wolf 26, the eleventh in a row organized by the Serbian Armed Forces with the support of the US European Command, is taking place from June 1 to 13 at military training grounds and areas near Bujanovac.

More than 550 members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the armed forces of Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, North Macedonia, the United States of America, Montenegro and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are participating in the exercise. The aim is to exchange experiences and work practice, as well as to enhance the competence and mutual understanding of the armed forces of the partner countries while conducting a peace support operation.

In the following two weeks, at the South Base, “Borovac” Training Ground and “Vrtogoš” Firing Range, the participants will be practicing a wide range of tactical scenarios – from securing bases, facilities and convoys, through patrolling, blocking and searching the terrain, to fight in an urban environment.

The Platinum Wolf Exercises, conducted in Serbia since 2014, are important for improving the capacities of the Serbian Armed Forces for planning, organizing and conducting international exercises, and also for enhancing the capabilities of lower tactical units to engage in peacekeeping operations. In addition to improving the capabilities of commands and units, by participating in international exercises, the Serbian Armed Forces simultaneously confirm our country’s commitment to cooperation with all partners and preservation of peace and stability.
