An interview with Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac who speaks about projections in the defense system, MoD, SAF which should all be part of Serbia?s response to global changes and the needs of the current regional security. Minister is convinced that brighter future stands in store for the MoD and the defense system and the people in it.
After visiting GSZ, Minister Sutanovac announced that he did not expect to see any destabilization in this part of Serbia?s territory. There is always a possibility of occasional incidents, but SAF are there to respond adequately and to make preventive decisions, said Sutanovac.
At "Celik 2008" exercise at Pasuljanske livade training field, SAF members demonstrated a high level of skill and knowledge. Investing into personnel paid off while in the future there will be even greater investments in the equipment and personnel.
Interceptor 2008 joint air force exercise of Romania and Serbia was carried out. The purpose of the exercise was to achieve combined training of units and operational centers of the two armies and providing protection to the air space of both countries in case of defecting of a plane.
Serbia still struggles with a serious problem of unexploded mines. This is why Italy has made a 600.00 EUR worth donation in form of vehicles, equipment, modern detection and defusing devices. The enthusiasm of the members of this service are what keeps them going says the Head of the Military Technical Institute Colonel Mladen Pantic.
53rd International Belgrade Book Fair is over where military publishers also participated. All 200.00 visitors of the fair were on sort of a pilgrimage of their own, and each published book should be seen as a victory, as our pass into a more beautiful, richer and more meaningful world of books.
