Competition for Admission to SAF Special Units Open until July 15

The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces invite all young men and women, who wish to put their knowledge, strength and patriotism at the service of their homeland to apply for admission to the elite units - the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and the 63rd Parachute Brigade.
The competitions are open from June 1 to July 15, 2026, and citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have at least a secondary education and meet general and special requirements are eligible to apply. Candidates whose applications are timely and complete will undergo medical examinations, psychological assessment, physical fitness test and security clearance, followed by basic and selective training.
The most successful candidates will get the chance to join the professional military service, initially for a six-month period, with the possibility of extending their employment contract for a definite or indefinite period.
Being a member of the Special Forces of the Serbian Armed Forces means to bear responsibility, honour and trust of the state.
Members of the elite units can expect continuous training and professional development, modern weapons and military equipment, as well as a salary of around 250,000 dinars, which is further increased according to the level of competence and job position.
Candidates who have not completed military training under arms, and who will meet the requirements for admission to professional military service upon completion of selective training, can also apply. The place of service of future members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade will be in Niš, while candidates admitted to the 72nd Special Operations Brigade will serve in Pančevo.
