Apply and Serve in SAF Tank Units

The Serbian Armed Forces have launched a competition for the recruitment of professional soldiers to serve in tank units, thus providing young people with the opportunity to combine a secure and stable job with love for their country and the sense of honour that employment in the Serbian Armed Forces brings.
The competition is open until July 15 for the positions of drivers and gunners for M-84 and T-72MS tanks. Candidates can apply for service in the tank battalions of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Army Brigades, as well as the T-72M Tank Battalion. The service locations are Sremska Mitrovica, Kraljevo, Niš and Vranje.
Being a member of tank units is not just a profession — it is a calling that encompasses honour, responsibility, and true loyalty to one’s country. Tank crew members are the elite of the Army; they are trained for fast, bold, sudden, and powerful combat actions.
Future tank crew members will have the opportunity to do a dynamic and exciting job on one of the most powerful combat systems in our Armed Forces — on modernized tanks that provide greater firepower and better protection for the crew, to attend continuous professional development and be proud members of the Serbian Armed Forces. The standard of tank crew members has been further improved since this year, and this will continue in the following period.
In addition to stable employment and regular income, professional military service includes early retirement benefits, military health insurance for soldiers and their family members, as well as career advancement opportunities. Service in the Serbian Armed Forces is not only a profession, it is also an opportunity to contribute to the continuation of the tradition of honour, responsibility and patriotism.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia up to 35 years of age can apply, regardless of whether they have completed military service under arms. Selected candidates will be admitted to professional military service for a fixed period of six months, with the possibility of extending the employment contract for a period of up to three years, and the option for subsequent contract renewal for an indefinite period.
