At Military Airfield "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović", Batajnica, aviation and helicopter squadrons are conducting training of their technical personnel in charge of maintaining the aircraft based at this airfield and performing duties of the crews.

This training is conducted as part of preparations for flying activities and on the "Technical Day", paying special attention to proper technical functioning of all combat and non-combat assets in the unit.

The training curriculum implies going through, during one week’s cycle, all stipulated standard procedures needed to perform specialist technical check of the aircraft and helicopters, functional check of the engine, radio-navigation equipment and weapons, keeping the focus in particular on the arming and immediate preparation of the aircraft for flying and engagement.

The aim is to sustain technical personnel’s excellent skills and to provide additional training for the NCOs of the aviation specialty who have been posted to the unit recently.

The Air Force Brigades’ technical components play a critical part in ensuring the proper functioning of planes and helicopters and preparing them for combat. They exhibit their outstanding skills on a daily basis in support of intense flight activities executed by these SAF units.
