The “No One Said 'I Won't'” Memorial Race, organized by the 204th Air Force Brigade, has been held for the fifth time at the “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” military airfield in Batajnica today.

This traditional race brings together a large number of competitors from the defense sector each year, aiming to honor the memory of the brave pilots of the 204th Fighter Aviation Regiment, whose sacrifice in the defense of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the 1999 NATO aggression will never be forgotten.

This year, 191 competitors from various organizational units of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense took part, competing in 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter races. Under a slogan symbolizing the determination, courage, and self-sacrifice of Serbian Armed Forces personnel—who are ready to safeguard freedom, the people, and the homeland, unafraid of losing their lives—professional personnel from multiple units demonstrated their readiness to withstand intense physical and mental strain, even under extremely demanding weather conditions.

In the men’s 10-kilometer race, the best result was achieved by Sergeant Jovan Mladenović of the 63rd Parachute Brigade, while Major Nevena Jovanović of the “Kobre” Special Purpose Military Police Detachment took first place in the women’s competition.

The best results in the 5-kilometer race were achieved by Army Civilian Janko Urošević from the Military Technical Institute in the men’s category, and Lieutenant Nataša Popović from the 126th ASEWG Brigade in the women’s category.

Brigadier General Milan Elenkov, Commander of the 204th Air Force Brigade, presented awards to the top competitors, as well as certificates of appreciation and plaques to the organizers.
