Members of Serbian Armed Forces Promoted by Supreme Commander and President of the Republic of Serbia

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, presented today President Aleksandar Vučić’s decree on the early promotion to the rank of major general to Deputy Army Commander, Brigadier General Vladeta Baltić and decrees on the promotion to the rank of brigadier general to Commander of the 204th Air Force Brigade, Colonel Brane Krnjajić and Commander of the 98th Air Force Brigade, Colonel Zoran Prodanović.


Minister Stefanović wished the generals success in their future careers expressing hope that they would continue to work diligently and efficiently and added that President Vučić and Serbia still expected a lot from them in their future work.

Major General Vladeta Baltić completed the General Staff Course in 2010. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2002 and then to brigadier general in 2018. He served as Commander of 252nd Armoured Brigade, Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the Second Army Brigade, Chief of Staff of the Army, and he has been Deputy Army Commander since 2018. He has been awarded a Silver Medal for Merit by the President of the Republic, and he is also the holder of the Order of Merit in the field of Defence and Security, 2nd Class, military memorial medals for participation in combat operations in the SFRY and FRY, military memorial medal for outstanding results in military service – for the first time and Order of Merit in the field of Defence and Security, 3rd Class.

Brigadier General Brane Krnjajić completed the General Staff Course in 2014 and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2020. He held the rank of colonel since 2014. He served as Deputy Commander and Commander of 101st Fighter Squadron, Chief of Staff of the 204th Air Force Brigade Command, and he has been the Commander of 204th Air Force Brigade since 2019. He has been awarded a Silver Medal of Merit by the President of the Republic, and he is a holder of Gold Pilot Wings, military commemorative medal "Twentieth Anniversary of Defence of the Homeland against the NATO Aggression", military memorial medals for participation in combat operations in the SFRY and FRY, as well as a military memorial medal for the contribution to the defence system. 

Brigadier General Zoran Prodanović completed the General Staff Course in 2013. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2014. He served as the Chief of Staff of the 98th Air Force Brigade, Deputy Commander of the 98th Air Force Brigade, and he has been the Commander of the 98th Air Force Brigade since 2020. He is the holder of the military commemorative medal "Twentieth Anniversary of Defence of the Homeland against the NATO Aggression", military memorial medal for outstanding results in military service – for the first time and the military memorial medal for participation in combat operations in FRY.
