Visit by students of Advanced Security and Defence Studies

Students of the Advanced Security and Defence Studies (11th class), School of National Defence "Field Marshal Radomir Putnik", have paid a study visit to the Serbian Armed Forces General staff today.

The visit was embedded in the advancement program and conducted so that students could gain insight into the place and role of the SAF General Staff in the defence systems and national security of the Republic of Serbia. 

During the visit, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Petar Cvetković, delivered a lecture to the government employees and officers attending these studies in preparation for assuming their high-ranking positions in the field of defence and security. 

In his speech, General Cvetković addressed the political and security situation in the region and worldwide, challenges, risks and threats to the security of the Republic of Serbia, contributions made by our country to global peace, as well as equipping and directions for further development of the Serbian Armed Forces.

The Advanced Security and Defence Studies represent the fourth level of special career development programs for SAF service personnel and government employees. They are conducted for the purpose of preparing the students for performing their duties in the national security system.
