Candidates for admission to professional military service in the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, following the public competition announced in June this year, are undergoing selective training for appointment to professional soldier positions in this unit of the Serbian Armed Forces.
They have previously successfully completed basic military training with weapons and acquired basic military knowledge. The objective of the selective training is to identify highly disciplined, highly motivated, and physically and mentally fit candidates with exemplary moral qualities, who are capable of joining this training and professional development process and fully embracing the way of life and work within the Brigade.
During ten weeks of training and several elimination phases, the candidates follow a special programme of training and testing designed to assess their physical and mental readiness, as well as military proficiency. They are trained in tactics, marksmanship, physical fitness, and military-technical skills.
Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited the candidates undergoing selective training in Valjevo today. During his visit, he made sure that all activities have been proceeding according to the plan and that the candidates are highly motivated to meet the set standards.
On this occasion, the Chief of the General Staff called on all young men and women who wish to serve their country as members of the special units of the Serbian Armed Forces to apply to the upcoming public competitions for admission to the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and the 63rd Parachute Brigade, which will be announced on November 1 this year.
