Visiting Units of the Army and 608th Logistics Base

Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković has visited part of the units of the Army and 608th Logistics Base in Kraljevo Garrison and Garrison Place Gornji Milanovac.
During the two-day inspection, he was able to see the state of affairs in these SAF components and talk with the soldiers and officers; he also received reports from commanders on the degree to which the primary tasks have been executed.
The inspection started by visiting the Petar Leković Barracks in Požega, where General Janković gained insight into the condition of the facilities for storing war reserve materiel and doing light overhaul, as well as facilities for training members of the 22nd Infantry Battalion and soldiers on military service. Afterwards, he examined the organization of work and facilities for overhaul, repair and modernization of the IFVs, telecommunication assets and complex combat systems at the Technical Overhaul Institute in Čačak.
Further on, he visited the 2nd Army Brigade units stationed at the Ribnica and Jovan Kursula Barracks in Kraljevo, where he could see the quality of training of the tank, artillery and reconnaissance units’ members.
During his stay in the field, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff also visited the units of the 608th Logistics Base in Gornji Milanovac and Bogutovačka Banja. On that occasion, he saw in person that all the prescribed measures for storing, keeping and doing basic maintenance of the mines and explosive ordnance had been taken, and that the unit members were highly motivated and fully capable of performing intended tasks.
