Personnel from the fighter-bomber squadron of the 98th Air Force Brigade, based at the “Morava” military airfield near Kraljevo, are conducting intensive flight training using “Orao” ground-attack aircraft.

The training aims to maintain and enhance further the proficiency of flight and technical personnel in executing assigned missions—primarily providing aerial fire support to maneuver forces during Serbian Armed Forces operations.

During flight operations, pilots practice various flight elements and tactical maneuvers essential for the safe and successful execution of missions, with the level of complexity gradually increasing. The emphasis at this stage is on maintaining proficiency and the capability to fly in diverse weather conditions, both during the day and at night.

For pilots, every flight offers an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills through practical experience, analyze completed missions, and address any shortcomings identified during the flight. In this way, beyond mere proficiency maintenance, the conditions are created for attaining higher levels of professional combat readiness.

Training for aviation technical personnel is being conducted alongside flight operations. Technicians of all specialties participate in preparing aircraft for flight and inspecting them after missions. Their work involves checking the airworthiness of engines, electrical systems, instruments, armament, and other systems critical to the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.

Intensive squadron training will continue in the coming period; its execution enhances the unit’s combat readiness while simultaneously building trust between pilots and technicians, who work closely together to carry out their assigned missions.
