Tour of 72nd Special Operations Brigade

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited the 72nd Special Operations Brigade in the “Rastko Nemanjić” Barracks in Pančevo today.

During his stay in this elite unit of the Serbian Armed Forces, he observed the dynamics of the implementation of the most important tasks and projects of key importance for the combat readiness of the Brigade and gave directions for work in the coming period.

In a conversation with the commanding staff, the Chief of the General Staff expressed his satisfaction with the situation in the unit and assessed that thanks to organizational changes, an investment cycle unprecedented in its history and personnel reinforcement, the 72nd Brigade is today at the peak of its combat capabilities.

Citizens could see part of the modern weapons and military equipment that the 72nd Brigade has been equipped with in previous years at the “Power of Unity” military parade, and the trend of strengthening operational capabilities and combat readiness will continue in the future in order for the unit to preserve and improve its high level of competence for carrying out special operations, offensive actions, counter-sabotage, counter-insurgency and counter-terrorist actions, as well as for the execution of other intended tasks.

During today’ s tour, the Chief of the General Staff was accompanied by the Chief of the CHOD’s Office of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Colonel Boris Stojković.
