Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has been in the Zaječar Garrison today, where he spoke with the commanding personnel of the Timok Brigade, after which he visited the Timok Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

During his stay in the Training Command unit, he gained insight into the implementation of the most important tasks and gave the commander guidelines for further work on improving the unit’s capabilities, accommodation and training conditions.

Expressing his satisfaction with the current state of affairs, General Mojsilović has pointed out that citizens can be calm because officers, soldiers and civilians serving in the Serbian Armed Forces fulfill their tasks and work selflessly in all weather conditions, adding that members of the Serbian Armed Forces are currently engaged in all three missions, both in the country and abroad.

General Mojsilović then visited the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Zaječar, where he was welcomed by His Eminence Archbishop of Romul-Zaječar and Metropolitan of Timok Ilarion.

During a cordial and friendly conversation in the cathedral and his residence with Metropolitan Ilarion, who used to be a military bishop at one time, it has been emphasized how important the Serbian Armed Forces and Serbian Orthodox Church are for the preservation of peace, security, freedom and national identity, being the institutions that Serbian citizens trust the most.
