Ceremony of Taking Military Oath

Soldiers on voluntary military service of the September 2025 intake have taken the oath today during a ceremony held at the “Field Marshall Petar Bojović” Barracks of the Serbian Armed Forces in Leskovac.

By pronouncing the text of the oath in front of the flag of the Republic of Serbia, they solemnly pledged to protect and defend the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.

The official act of taking the military oath in Leskovac was attended by Acting Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources Siniša Radović, Commander of the Training Command Brigadier General Dragiša Zlatković, representatives of units of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces, local governments and the Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as the relatives and friends of the young men and women who have joined the ranks of defenders of the fatherland today.

The youngest soldiers are now supposed to continue with the basic training, then specialist training for the roles they were recruited for, and they will spend the last three months of their military service in the Serbian Armed Forces’ units, training to perform collective tasks specific to their branch / service, actively involved in the implementation of daily activities together with the professional staff.

During the ceremony held at the Leskovac barracks, students of the 53rd class of the Vocational Military High School “1300 Corporals” have taken the oath today, and in the “General Jovan Mišković” barracks in Belgrade, the first-year cadets of the Military Academy and the Faculty of Medicine, Military Medical Academy, as well as the Reserve Officers Course attendees, class September 2025, solemnly pledged their loyalty to the fatherland.
