Multiple Activities to Commemorate Serbian Armed Forces Day

Multiple ceremonies have been held today in Belgrade on the occasion of 23 April – Serbian Armed Forces Day commemorating the day of the outbreak of the Second Serbian Uprising in 1815.

Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, accompanied by Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović and Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, has laid a wreath today, with all due military honors, at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier on Mt. Avala.

Furthermore, there has been a Guards Club ceremony in Belgrade for members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces to receive recognitions within the competence of Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić. By Presidential Decrees, a total of 219 members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces have been presented with gold and silver meritorious service medals.

The awarding ceremony has been attended by Minister of Defence, Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović along with their respective staff members.

Today's activities conclude with a final ceremony at the Guards Club on the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day.
