Chief of General Staff on Christmas Morning in Topčider Church

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, spent Christmas morning with his closest associates in the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Topčider, where he attended the holy liturgy on the occasion of the most joyous Christian holiday - Christmas.

During his stay in the church, the Chief of the General Staff talked with the clergy about the importance of Christmas, which for centuries has symbolized peace, love, togetherness and hope, but also about the importance of preserving the traditional and spiritual values of Serbian people. The conversation highlighted the importance of faith as a strong support in personal and collective life, as well as its role in fostering moral principles, responsibility and service to the motherland.

On that occasion, the Chief of the General Staff has emphasized that the Serbian Armed Forces, as one of the most important state institutions, rest on solid foundations of honor, sacrifice and loyalty to the people, values that are deeply seated in the spiritual Orthodox tradition and are especially strongly recognized in the Christmas message of peace and fraternal harmony. 

From the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Topčider, the Chief of the General Staff sent a Christmas greetings to all citizens of the Republic of Serbia of Orthodox faith, both in the country and abroad, wishing them good health, spiritual peace and well-being, with the message that the holidays should be an impetus for unity, mutual understanding and faith in a better and safer future.

Director of the Defense Inspectorate, Lieutenant General Srđan Petković, Head of the Logistics Directorate (J-4) Major General Saša Petrović, Head of the Human Resources Directorate (J-1) Brigadier General Slađan Hristov and Head of the Office of the Chief of the General Staff, Colonel Boris Stojković, visited the Topčider Church.
