Safest Military Drivers Awards

Traditional awards for the safest drivers in the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces have been awarded at the Guard’s Club in the “Topčider” Barracks today, where a regular meeting of the Council for the Safety of Military Traffic Participants has previously been held.
In the NCO category, safest driver award 2025 was received by Sergeant Major Vladimir Kuzmanović from the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Cobras”. As for professional soldiers, the safest driver is Lance Corporal Igor Živković from the “Niš” Military Hospital, while in the category of civilians this year’s title was taken by Miloš Vranić from the 608th Logistics Base. 38 drivers from units and institutions of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces were shortlisted.
The best drivers were handed awards by Head of the Logistics Directorate (J-4) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Major General Saša Petrović, who is also Deputy President of the Council for the Safety of Military Traffic Participants.
At the meeting of the Council, the state of traffic safety in 2025 was discussed, with special reference to the results of the Traffic Safety Strategy in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2023-2030 and the results and achieved goals of the Strategy for the Safety of Military Road Traffic Participants for the period 2022- 2026. Conclusions were adopted and measures defined for further improvement of the state of safety of military road users.
Award-winning trailer truck driver Miloš Vranić started his military career as a professional soldier in 1992, while he has been employed as an army civilian since 1995.
— Over the last year, I traveled slightly more than 120,000 reduced kilometers, which is the most kilometers traveled in 2025 at the military level. I received this award for the first time, which will give me the strength to pay even more attention to traffic safety in my future work - emphasized the recipient of this recognition awarded since 2004.
The Council for the Safety of Military Traffic Participants is an expert body whose primary task is to improve the safety of military drivers. Apart from the most responsible officers of the transportation service of the Serbian Armed Forces, representatives of the Traffic Safety Agency, Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering of the University of Belgrade and Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad also participate in its work.
