Balkan Countries CHODs Conference

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, participated in the 14th Conference of the Chiefs of Defence of the Balkan Countries, held today in Sarajevo.
During the Conference, which aims to discuss and strengthen the model of military-military cooperation of the Balkan countries, as well as the model of responding to security challenges, risks and threats in the region, the Republic of Serbia confirmed its commitment to actively participate in all joint activities within this initiative, as well as to intensify regional cooperation.
The annual reports of the Coordination Group and working subgroups for education, training and exercises and for asymmetric threats were adopted at the meeting, after which their Joint Statement reaffirmed the readiness of all member states of this initiative to improve cooperation and implement the conclusions of the Conference in order to strengthen mutual relations, regional cooperation and security.
During his stay in Sarajevo, General Mojsilović had several bilateral meetings with representatives of the European Union and NATO and the Chiefs of General Staff of the Montenegrin Armed Forces, the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Conference of the Chiefs of Defence of the Balkan Countries is held once a year and the participants are the Chiefs of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, North Macedonia, Turkey and Montenegro. Representatives of the military committees of the European Union and NATO, NATO Allied Joint Force Command Naples and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Croatia and the Slovenia are also present as guests.
Next year, the host of the 15th Conference of the Chiefs of Defence of the Balkan countries will be the Republic of North Macedonia.
