Participation in Land Commanders’ Conference in Turkey

The Army Commander Lieutenant General Milosav Simović has participated in Partner Land Commanders’ Conference, hosted by NATO Allied Land Command in the Republic of Turkey.

Representatives of 16 countries, members of organizations Partnership for Peace, Mediterranean Dialogue, Istanbul Cooperation Initiative and Partners across the Globe, attended the conference. They exchanged opinions on interoperability and its importance for partner cooperation. The meeting discussed standardization of documents, the Operational Capabilities Concept, joint exercises and participation in United Nations multinational operations.

On the sidelines of the conference, General Simović met with Deputy Commander NATO Allied Land Command, Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell, Commander of the Swiss Army, Major General René Wellinger and Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Major General Radovan Ilić, with whom he discussed all aspects of training that contribute to achieving the required level of interoperability.
