Visit from Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command Europe

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, talked with Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR), Major General Steven Edwards.
The discussion at the meeting covered the current security situation in the region and cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and U.S. Armed Forces, special attention being paid to the possibilities of the enhancement of cooperation between the special operations units.
The interlocutors have agreed that the cooperation has been successful and mutually beneficial so far, its greatest quality being that it was based on the execution of joint training and exercise activities. It has been singled out that the most specific form of cooperation between the special operations forces was the joint combined training, whose execution was initially organized by Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia; however, it has grown into an activity conducted jointly by SAF and SOCEUR since 2020.
Major General Steven Edwards has visited our country to attend the ceremony on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Operation Halyard which will be held in Pranjani near Gornji Milanovac tomorrow and attended by a SAF delegation.
