Training of the River Flotilla Ship Crews in Navigation

Wednesday, 2.12.2020 | Training
Crews of the River Flotilla multi-purpose and auxiliary vessels conducted training in complex hydrometeorological and reduced visibility conditions on the Danube River.

By practicing the procedures of emergency departure from the berths in the port, the crews of the ships conducted various suppositions during the departure and relocation of the ship. In addition to general ship movements, the work on the combat alert signal, passage through the contaminated area and procedures from the ship's combat resistance were tested in practice.

As the practice in the River Flotilla dictates, as part of the training for the initial duties of officers and non-commissioned officers, newly admitted unit personnel were boarded for navigation. By upgrading their knowledge of ship navigation and control in difficult conditions, in thick fog and low temperatures, the youngest officers gained valuable experience necessary for independent performing of functional duties on ships.
