"Lightning strike 2021" on Land, Water and in Airspace

As part of the joint tactical exercise with live fire, "Lightning Strike 2021", Serbian Armed Forces units are carrying out intensive activities in day and night conditions on training grounds throughout the Republic of Serbia.
In this phase of the exercise, units of the Army, Air Force and Air Defence, the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and the 63rd Parachute Brigade are training a wide range of tasks on land, water and in the airspace. Offensive, defensive, anti-terrorist and anti-insurgency operations are carried out on Rtanj, Pešter plateau, Deliblatska peščara, Tisa near Titel and "Pasuljanske livade", "Medja", "Orešac" and "Borovac" training grounds.
The operations are carried out by units of all branches of the Serbian Armed Forces, with the support of general and logistical services that ensure continuity of communication, air surveillance and reporting, atomic-biological-chemical security, transport, food, lethal means, health care and the technical validity of war equipment.
Tanks, combat vehicles, artillery systems and weapons, ships, planes, helicopters, remotely piloted aircraft, air defence systems, unmanned platforms and a wide range of infantry and special forces weapons are used in the exercise.
The exercise is conducted to test the combat readiness of the Serbian Armed Forces and to improve the ability of commands, units and institutions of the Serbian Armed Forces to respond to challenges, risks and threats to the security of the Republic of Serbia.
