Training Activities at the Pešter Training Area

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović, visited today units of the Serbian Armed Forces conducting training activities at the “Pešter” temporary training area, as a part of the live-fire joint tactical exercise “Joint Action 2020”.

The exercise will be conducted by the units of the Air Force and Air Defence, an Army battle group and special operations units. Approximately 2,800 members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, 150 combat and non-combat vehicles and combat systems, and more than 40 aircraft are engaged in the exercise.

The goal of the exercise is to demonstrate the level of competence of the Serbian Armed Forces’ commands and units for solving tactical and fire missions during a joint operation, with a focus on providing air fire support to Army units.
 
As part of the exercise, on Saturday, October 10, the state leadership and the public will be presented with the capabilities and competence of the Serbian Armed Forces’ commands and units for the realization of complex combat tasks with the use of modern weapons and military equipment.
