The First Phase of the Joint Live Fire Exercise

The first phase of the joint live fire exercise "Response 2021" was completed today at "Pasuljanske livade" and "Orešac" training grounds. The exercise was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović.

Special SAF and Police units demonstrated their capability to conduct an anti-terrorist action and resolve a hostage situation at the "Orešac" training ground.

At "Pasuljanske livade" training ground, the Army, Air Force and Air Defence, Gendarmerie and the Ministry of the Interior’s Helicopter Unit demonstrated a reinforced battle group’s defensive action shifting to counter-attack. Fighter and bomber aircraft, helicopters and anti-aircraft artillery and missile weapons engaged designated targets. Army units demonstrated the maneuvering and firepower of modern armoured combat vehicles, artillery and a wide range of infantry weapons.

The final stage of the joint exercise will be held on Saturday, April 17, where more than 1,200 members of the Serbian Armed Forces and about 300 members of the police will demonstrate part of their capabilities, training, firepower and joint action in resolving crisis situations at the "Pasuljanske livade" and "Orešac" training grounds.
