At the beginning, the audience was addressed by the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Aleksandar Zivkovic, while the commander of the 2nd Army Brigade Commander Brigadier General Marinko Pavlovic commented the exercise. The exercise was led by Colonel Muharem Fazlic, chief of staff of the Second Brigade.
After the exercise, the delegation visited the tactical operations center of the 2 Army Brigade command, the observation point of the battalion commander from where he commanded and observed the units as well as the artillery observation point, after which the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, visited the exercise participants.
- For performing the exercise successfully - very good! - President Nikolic said after touring the alignment.
The unilateral tactical demo exercise with the topic "Reinforced infantry battalion in defense moving into counterattack" on the mixed training ground near Cuprija was performed by members of the 2nd Brigade of the Army with the support of the Special and 98th Aviation Brigade. During the exercise 57 targets, with 597 marks were shot.
The objective of the exercise "Resava 2013" is to show the preparedness of the brigade and battalion command in the process of planning, preparation and execution of exercise as well as training of units in preparing, organizing and carrying out combat operations in defense and counterattack.
The most attractive segment of today's exercise was the part performed by reconnaissance aircraft, as part of the action when the pilot of Orao flew over an area to perform reconnaissance and spots a line of enemy vehicles and military vehicles. Another interesting part was when "Orao" shot the perceived enemy targets as part of the support.
The spectators’ attention was especially attracted by the attack on imagined enemy lines using artillery fire support: self-propelled 122mm howitzer artillery battery ("Gvozdika"), a battery of self-propelled multiple rocket launchers ("Oganj"), as well as anti-tank helicopters, "Gamma" with guided missile.
The exercise was completed by a simulation of engaging medical combat infantry vehicles and tanks to recover combat infantry vehicles M80A and for evacuation of injured and wounded by using helicopters.
