Wednesday, 10.5.2023 | Training
Members of the T-72 MS Tank Battalion, who have been undergoing field training this week, have completed their firing practices at Automated Range "Orešac" near Vršac.

During the range activities which took several days, the tank crews practiced their combat actions, carrying out day and night fire missions according to the prescribed scenarios.

The focus was on recently appointed young officers’ and professional soldiers’ additional training, their very good and excellent results speaking in favor of the quality of training and crews’ proficiency in performing the assigned missions.

Firing practices that take place in SAF armored units are an important step in preparation for live firing and participation in tactical exercises; their successful execution is what helps sustain and raise professional members’ skills and unit’s overall combat readiness.

The T-72 MS Tank Battalion is an Army unit equipped with the latest tanks used by the SAF. It is intended for (anti-) armoured warfare on combat operations, waged independently or in interoperability with other units.
