Selective Training of Candidates for Admission to Special Forces

Candidates for admission to professional military service as professional soldiers in the 72nd Special Operations Brigade began their selective training at training grounds and “Field Marshal Živojin Mišić” Barracks in Valjevo.
Previously, they had completed successfully basic military training with weapons, acquired basic military knowledge and were prepared to face the most important step in the selection process for admission to this elite unit of our armed forces. The goal of selective training is the selection of disciplined, highly motivated and psychophysically prepared candidates, along with the development of team spirit and increasing their ability and physical readiness to perform tasks under increased psychophysical stress.
In accordance with the training program, which lasts for 10 weeks and consists of several elimination stages, the candidates, under the watchful eye of experienced instructors from the 72nd Brigade, master the contents of tactical, firearms, physical and military training. They are now in the initial training phase, the focus being on performing basic tactical actions on the battlefield and physical preparation.
The training process is designed in such a way that the activities become more and more difficult every day, and the candidate’s commitment and competence are continuously monitored and evaluated.
The most successful ones will have the opportunity to join the professional military service for a fixed period of six months, with extremely stimulating earnings and the possibility of extending the employment contract. In the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, they will be further trained and perfected for the execution of complex and psychophysically demanding tasks, among which are the execution of offensive actions, counter-offensive, counter-insurgency and counter-terrorist operations and intelligence gathering.
Young men and women willing to choose this career and are ready to show patriotism and serve their country as members of the special units of the Serbian Armed Forces, will be able to apply for the next public competitions for admission to the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and 63rd Parachute Brigade, which will be announced on June 01 this year.
