A unit of the Mixed Artillery Brigade armed with self-propelled howitzers 155 mm B-52 M-15 “Nora” successfully rounded off the period of intensive training by conducting live firing at the training ground “Pasuljanske Livade”.

The training was implemented with the aim of preserving the achieved level of ability and improving individual and collective skills. The crews mainly practiced gun emplacement, moving the unit and performing indirect firing against targets of tactical, operational and strategic importance.

Members of the reconnaissance and special units of the Serbian Armed Forces also participated in the final training segments. They were trained to direct artillery fire using modern systems on combat vehicles, portable optoelectronic devices and remotely piloted aircraft.

By integrating assets used by reconnaissance and special units with artillery systems for observation, preparation of initial elements and handling artillery fire, potential for target detection, speed of information transmission and, ultimately, fire maneuver is significantly improved.

Persistent training and tactical drills are essential for maintaining the high proficiency of the professional component and improving the ability of the Mixed Artillery Brigade to provide reliable, precise and powerful fire support to the Serbian Armed Forces units during operations, and that is why they are carried out throughout the year in different terrain, weather and tactical conditions.
