Since last night, the Serbian Armed Forces have been engaging additional personnel and technical capacities to provide assistance to the citizens of Čačak, who are facing a shortage of drinking water due to a failure of the regional system Rzav.
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces have been engaged in Čačak and Gornji Milanovac with water tankers for several days, and yesterday an additional number of tankers, as well as larger capacity vessels and water tanks, were sent to the field.
They are deployed in the general hospital and at several points in Čačak, where, in cooperation with the local government and competent services, they are working on the delivery and distribution of water to citizens. Today, the armed forces will send a tanker truck with drinking water to the municipality of Lučani. They will remain on the ground until the regular water supply is stabilized, and additional forces will be deployed if necessary.
As always, the Serbian Armed Forces remain ready to help citizens and, in accordance with available capacities, engage forces and resources when it is most needed, whether it is about water supply or eliminating the consequences of natural disasters and other accidents.
