Flight Training in Helicopter Squadron

Training of members of the 119th Mixed Helicopter Squadron from the 98th Air Force Brigade with H-145 helicopters is underway at the “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” Military Airfield and in the vicinity of Niš.
Flying activities in the squadron are part of regular training of both flying and technical staff, the goal being to maintain and improve the level of competence of the unit members and ensure the readiness for SAR, medical evacuation and airlift and provide air support to the Serbian Armed Forces while conducting operations.
In accordance with the envisaged training plan, regular tactics, techniques and procedures are practiced during the execution of flying tasks in a group of several aircraft, the emphasis being on practicing standard take-off and landing and performing maneuvers by helicopter squadron flight.
In parallel with pilot training, the training of technical staff of all specialties is also carried out, practicing elaborate procedures at the apron and taking care of the proper functioning of the aircraft and their preparation for flying in all weather conditions.
Intensive training in the squadron continues in the period to come, leading to the improvement of the combat readiness of the unit, at the same time building trust between pilots and technicians, who closely cooperate while performing intended tasks.
