Tactical Training of Serbian Armed Forces’ Mechanized Units

At training grounds and exercise areas of the Serbian Armed Forces, mechanized units of the Army are going through an intensive cycle of training needed to undertake combat actions in defense operations.
The training is intended to maintain and improve further the skills in using critical weapons in combat and conducting tactical operations on the battlefield, which ensures high combat readiness and efficient execution of intended tasks in the operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
In accordance with the training program in this period, the focus is on IFV crews and embarked squads training jointly to implement tactical and fire procedures in all operation phases. Then comes the execution of exercise firing at specialized training grounds of the Serbian Armed Forces and tactical exercises and live firing, with members of the mechanized battalions putting into action the achieved level of tactical and firearms skills.
Training in mechanized battalions, which are in charge of maneuvers in SAF operations together with tank units, takes place in all conditions throughout the year. These units are intended for rapid introduction of infantry into battle, fire support and force protection, and are thus instrumental in conducting military operations on the land.
