The youngest pilots of the Serbian Armed Forces are currently undergoing intensive training in flying the "Eagle" fighter-bomber aircraft. The training takes place at "Morava" Airfield in Lađevci used otherwise for routine training flights.

This is a retraining program for this type of aircraft attended by Second Lieutenants, Military Academy graduates posted to the 98th Air Force Brigade 241st Fighter-Bomber Squadron. They already learnt how to pilot the "Lasta" and "Supergaleb" G-4 aircraft in the course of their undergraduate studies.

Young pilots made ground preparations which included technical and flight simulator training. They spent the last few weeks completing the 1st phase of flight-retraining to master basic, aerobatic and navigation flights, successfully executing exam and individual flights. In the period to come, they will go through instrumental and night-flights training, as well as combat and group-flights training in order to be fully competent to use this type of aircraft in combat.

Training of young Second Lieutenants means that another class of competent "Eagle" fighter-bomber pilots is becoming part of the 241st Fighter-Bomber Squadron thus increasing the overall capabilities of this unit with the mission of providing air support to Army units.
