Specialist Training of Soldiers on Military Service

At the Army Training Centre in Požarevac, specialist training is underway for soldiers on military service of the June 2025 intake, assigned to this Training Command unit after completing basic training.
The soldiers are trained for the military roles they were recruited for at the Centre, which provides training for dozens of different infantry, artillery, engineer and armored units’ specialties.
During the six-week training, in accordance with their specialties, they will acquire knowledge and skills in using infantry weapons, support assets, engineering assets and artillery systems in combat.
The training is carried out in specialized study rooms, barracks’ training grounds, and field conditions, including drills in the field, exercises with mines and explosive ordnance and firing from branch-specific weapons.
For this class of soldiers, specialist training ends in late August with the individual skills assessment, followed by collective training and active involvement in the life and work of the Serbian Armed Forces’ units until the end of their military service.
Interested soldiers can apply for admission to professional military service while still on their military service, after which they will go through the prescribed procedure and meet the requirements to join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces immediately after completing their military service.
