Soldiers class "December 2021", performing the second part of their military service in the Mixed Artillery Brigade, are going through intense artillery training at "Mija Stanimirović" Barracks in Niš.

Soldiers have been assigned to this unit as crew-members of the 152 mm M-84 "Nora" gun-howitzers and 128 mm M-77 "Oganj" self-propelled multiple launch rocket systems and trained in executing collective assignments and using efficiently these artillery systems in combat.

Specific characteristics and purpose of the unit require that the focus should be on practicing tactical actions and procedures while occupying the fire position, shifting the artillery system from its marching position to its battle position and accurate calculation and target acquisition to project fire.

The Mixed Artillery Brigade is intended to provide fire support to Army units by engaging long-range targets of tactical, operational and strategic importance. Delivering such training to soldiers doing their military service increases the possibilities of manning the unit with valuable professionals.
