Together with infantry units of the Hungarian Defense Forces and the Ohio National Guard, a unit from the 1st Army Brigade participated in the tactical exercise Neighbors 26, held at a military training ground in Hungary this week.

Tactical actions and procedures were practiced at the exercise, along with the exchange of experience in the organization, coordination and execution of tasks in different operational conditions.

This is the eleventh exercise between members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Hungarian Defense Forces called Neighbors and the fifth one in which members of the Ohio National Guard also participate.

Exercises under this name have been held alternately since 2012 in Serbia and Hungary with the aim of exchanging experience and work practices, as well as improving the skills and mutual understanding between the armed forces during operations at the tactical level in an international environment.

In addition to the improvement of military-military cooperation and overall relations with Hungary and the United States of America, the importance of the exercise is also reflected in raising the capacity for planning, organizing and conducting international exercises and the ability of infantry units to implement assigned tasks.
