Specialist training for soldiers on voluntary military service, March 2025 intake, and 2nd NCO Course participants is underway at the Air Force and Air Defence Training Center, Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović Military Airfield in Batajnica.
In accordance with their specialties, soldiers and would-be NCOs are being trained at this Training Command center for the branch of air defense artillery-missile units, ASEWG and aviation-technical services.
The training is carried out in specially equipped study rooms and with the missile and radar-computer systems and aircraft themselves, providing the participants with the best conditions for mastering the use of these combat assets, their servicing and basic maintenance.
Captain Hristina Jovanović, platoon commander, short-range air defense artillery-missile battery, AF and AD Training Center, points out that the soldiers on voluntary service and NCO candidates are supposed to have training which is intensive, progressive and rather demanding.
— Soldiers on military service train with the 40 mm L-70 Bofors anti-aircraft gun, while the participants of the third module of the 2nd course for civilian NCO candidates receive specialist training not only for the branch of air defense artillery-missile units, but also within the ASEWG and aviation technical services — said Capt. Hristina Jovanović.
A soldier training at the AF and AD Training Center, Stefan Milenković, expresses his satisfaction with the training, adding that he applied for military service because he wanted to continue his family tradition.
— The training is mostly practical, although we do the theoretical part as well. We are honored to work with top instructors completely dedicated to training, keeping the focus on the topic until we master it fully — said soldier Nedeljković.
After the specialist training ends, the NCO Course participants will do internship in the AF and AD units, while the soldiers are supposed to attend a three-month collective training, actively involved in the life and work of the Serbian Armed Forces units.
