In addition to performing regular training flights, the youngest Serbian Armed Forces officers are currently training to fly the J-22 Eagle fighter-bomber at the "Morava" airport in Lađevci.

The training is attended by second lieutenants who are assigned to the 98th Air Force Brigade after graduating from the Military Academy and successfully completing the flight training on "Lasta" and "Supergaleb" G-4 aircraft. In the first training phase, they did ground training, which included mechanical and flight simulator training, so they were fully prepared to start the retraining process.

Pilots are now being trained in basic, acrobatic and navigation flying, followed by solo flights, air combat and group flight training, so they can provide air fire support to ground forces and engage ground targets.

Upon completing their training, the 98th Air Force Brigade will acquire a new generation of young pilots fully trained to perform combat tasks on this type of aircraft.
