Visit by EUCOM Deputy Commander

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, has had talks today with the United States European Command (EUCOM) Deputy Commander, Lieutenant General Michael Howard.
The discussion at the meeting covered the current regional security situation and possibilities of promoting bilateral military cooperation. It has been estimated that the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the United States Armed Forces is intense and thorough, realized in mutual interest.
Our side has underscored its intention to focus on concrete and evident forms of cooperation while performing our joint activities. In that respect, it has been emphasized that the most important step towards promoting our bilateral military cooperation is the upcoming joint participation in the peacekeeping operation in the Sinai.
Lieutenant General Michael Howard has visited Belgrade as part of a delegation led by Karen Donfried, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
