Tactical Training of Reconnaissance Units
Wednesday, 27.5.2026 | Training
In accordance with the annual training plans, some of the Army reconnaissance units are conducting training outside peacetime locations in this period, in order to improve their skills and familiarize themselves with the characteristics of the terrain.
These units are intended for the implementation of tasks in the field of intelligence security of the Serbian Armed Forces, primarily deep within enemy lines, and are now practicing the implementation of reconnaissance patrols, raids and ambushes, with the use of multi-purpose combat and special vehicles with high mobility.
The handling of unmanned aerial vehicles and multi-purpose observation devices, which provide opportunities for immediate processing and transmission of information, which enables higher commands to have a realistic insight into the situation on the ground, is practiced.
This is followed by the summer training cycle, when scout units are expected to train in swimming and fighting, perfecting the techniques of protection against cold and firearms, providing nutrition independently and survival in nature, as well as overcoming water obstacles and carrying out tactical tasks in different environments.
The training of scouts is carried out continuously throughout the year, so that they are always ready to react quickly and efficiently in all situations. This is the best way to maintain a high level of psychophysical preparedness and combat capability for carrying out successfully the most difficult tasks.
