Tactical Exercise “Neighbors 25” began yesterday at the training ground “Pasuljanske Livade”, jointly conducted by members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Hungarian Defense Forces.
The goal of the exercise, which lasts until October 07, is to improve the ability to plan and execute operations of multinational forces and organize interoperability and cooperation, with strengthening mutual trust and exchanging experience.
During the several-day stay in the field, members of the 1st Army Brigade and 30th Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Hungarian Defense Forces will practice combat actions and procedures when engaging in operations at the tactical level, using modern combat vehicles and reconnaissance and intelligence gathering assets. Marching to attack, control of the territory, search of the terrain and medical evacuation are only some of the activities stipulated in the exercise scenario.
This is the 10th joint exercise of members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Hungarian Defense Forces entitled “Neighbors”. In addition to the improvement of military cooperation and overall bilateral relations of the two countries, the importance of the exercise is reflected in raising the capabilities for planning, organizing and conducting international exercises and the ability of the Serbian Armed Forces’ units to engage in peacekeeping operations.
