Members of the Spanish Armed Forces have undergone a two-week specialist live agent training at the Serbian Armed Forces CBRN Training Center in Kruševac.

Under the expert supervision of instructors from our center, at the “Ravnjak” training ground and in specialized laboratories at the “Car Lazar” Barracks, guests from Spain practiced tactical actions that members of the CBRN service apply in a contaminated environment.

The training program included theoretical and practical lessons, the focus being on practicing actions and procedures during reconnaissance of a contaminated area, chemical detection, decontamination of soil and facilities, sampling live agents and providing medical assistance in case of poisoning by highly toxic substances.

By participating in this training, specialists of the CBRN service from Spain improved their knowledge about live agents and protective measures and trained themselves practically to work in an environment contaminated with these substances.

Live agent training of members of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Spain has been carried out at the CBRN Training Center of the Serbian Armed Forces since 2016. It is one of the numerous bilateral military cooperation activities between Serbia and Spain aimed at strengthening capabilities, interoperability, as well as mutual trust and overall relations between the two countries.
