A part of the Army reconnaissance units based in Niš has begun conducting planned training in summer conditions.

The training process in these formations is complex and challenging, in order for each member of the unit to learn how to survive in the nature, defend themselves and defeat the enemy, overcome a water obstacle and collect information of relevance to the superior command.

In the first part of the summer training, which is currently underway, scouts are acquiring and improving their skills in knife and axe wielding and mastering techniques for protection against cold weapons and firearms. This boosts self-confidence and lifts collective spirit, in preparation for more complex training for the execution of tasks in the depths of the enemy forces.

The reconnaissance units will then undergo training in swimming, independent nutrition and survival in the nature, training in overcoming water obstacles using organic and improvised watercraft and solving tactical tasks in various environments. In the final part, a tactical exercise will be conducted, within which the capabilities of scouts and units for the execution of assigned tasks will be evaluated.

Throughout the year, the Army reconnaissance units of the Serbian Armed Forces conduct training in different terrain and in all conditions in which their deployment can be expected, which ensures a high level of competence of these units for the execution of tasks of providing intelligence to forces in operations.
