Friday, 13.6.2025 | International Co-operation
At the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN Training Centre in Kruševac, an international course on live agent detection and identification was held this week, attended by foreign armed forces members.
During the five-day training, participants from Azerbaijan, Greece, Egypt, Italy, the United States of America and Spain improved their knowledge of the live agents’ physical and chemical characteristics. They learnt how to use devices for detecting contaminated materials and administer first aid in case of poisoning.
Devices and equipment possessed by the Serbian Armed Forces were used, and the training was delivered by certified instructors from the CBRN Training Centre. The focus was on applying the procedures for performing toxicological analyzes of water, heavy metal salts and chemically contaminated samples using a laboratory for detecting and identifying poisonous chemical substances.
A wide interest of foreign armed forces in sending their personnel for training at the CBRN Training Centre is a confirmation of the training quality and expertise of the Serbian Armed Forces’ instructor staff in the CBRN field; in fact, the implementation of international courses strengthens the status of this unit as a regional and partner centre for education and training.
