At the Serbian Armed Forces’ training ground “Orešac” near Vršac, the participants of the Basic NCO Course and soldiers on military service of the June 2025 intake, who are being trained for duties in the armored units, are currently doing the stationary camp.

In accordance with the requirements of the duties for which they are preparing, the soldiers and future NCOs are being trained on the training ground in using branch-specific assets in combat, at the same time adapting to the implementation of tasks and organization of life and work in field conditions.

During the camp, which is a mandatory part of the specialist field training, preparatory and school firing from the armament of the M-80A IFVs are carried out. These firing activities represent a practical test of the training success and are an opportunity for soldiers and NCO course participants to see in person the combat and fire capabilities of armored vehicles.

The achieved excellent results confirm that the specialized training at the Army Training Center so far was of high quality and that the training objective was fully met.

After returning from the field, the soldiers of the armored units continue with their individual training, which lasts four months due to the complexity of the military duties for which they are being trained. In late September, they will undergo a skills assessment, after which they will be assigned to the units of the Serbian Armed Forces for collective training.

Participants of the Basic NCO Course, who have previously completed the Leadership Course and proven themselves in military duties, after completing field training, continue with internships in the units of the Serbian Armed Forces. Upon successful completion of the course, they meet the requirements for promotion to the rank of sergeant and assignment to initial NCO duties.
