Friday, 22.8.2025 | Training
The Air Force and Air Defense Training Center is conducting specialist training for soldiers of the aviation-technical specialty of the technical service of the Serbian Armed Forces’, who started their military service in June this year.
The soldiers are being trained for the duties of aircraft maintenance technicians at this Training Command center at the Military Airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” in Batajnica.
The specialized training of soldiers lasts six weeks and is carried out in specially equipped study rooms and with aircraft themselves, so that they could have optimal conditions for acquiring necessary knowledge and skills needed to work properly and safely on servicing and maintaining aircraft engines, power systems, equipment for communication, navigation and pilot rescue.
This phase of soldier training ends at the end of next week with an individual skills assessment, followed by a three-month collective training and active involvement in the life and work of the Air Force and Air Defense units.
Apart from soldiers of the aviation-technical specialty of the technical service of the Serbian Armed Forces, soldiers of the Air Defense artillery-missile units and ASEWG service also undergo training at the Air Force and Air Defense Training Center.
Soldiers can apply for professional military service while still doing their voluntary military service. They will then go through the standard admission procedure and become eligible to join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces immediately after completing their military service.
