On the basis of the annual call-up and training plan for the reserve force, the multi-days training of persons from the reserve force above the age of 30 who have not performed military service under arms is ongoing in the units of the Serbian Armed Forces.

There are currently almost five hundred reservists from this category in the units; they are undergoing practical training in the use of new and modern personal weapons, executing firing and practicing tactical actions and actions of soldiers in combat, from navigation, observation, camouflage and movement on the battlefield to choosing and making shelters for action and protection.

This is individual basic training during which they acquire knowledge and skills necessary to carry out basic defensive and offensive combat missions and adapt to living and working within a military unit.

These days, the focus is on the execution of all firing activities stipulated in the program, with close order drills being intensively rehearsed so that the reservists could be ready to take the military oath, which rounds off this cycle of training.

In the next phase, reserve personnel from this category are expected to receive specialist training during which they will be trained for branch/service-specific duties in accordance with the stated needs of SAF units.
