In a training area in the vicinity of Niš, the Armored Reconnaissance Battalion members are undergoing collective training in performing intended tasks in winter conditions using the armored reconnaissance vehicles BRDM-2MS.

This training is part of the unit’s regular exercise activities carried out in cycles throughout the year in order to maintain a high level of competence of the professional component in providing intelligence security on SAF operations.

During this training phase, scouts practice tactical actions and procedures while carrying out scout patrols, raids and ambushes, and perfect the techniques of driving armored-reconnaissance vehicles in different terrain. In addition to reconnaissance tasks, the unit members are also trained in handling and maintaining these complex combat systems safely and properly.

Continuous training plays a critical part in sustaining high combat readiness of the Armored Reconnaissance Battalion and unit members’ ability to accomplish all assigned tasks in different tactical conditions, weather and terrain and provide intelligence needed for successful operations of the Army and the Serbian Armed Forces.
