Members of the anti-tank helicopter squadron from the 98th Air Force Brigade, whose armament includes Mi-35 and Gamma combat helicopters, are conducting intensive flight training at the Military Airfield Morava and on the outskirts of Kraljevo.
This training activity is carried out to maintain and raise the level of competence of pilots and technical staff needed to execute flight tasks and use these types of aircraft in combat operations.
According to the training plan, in this phase, they fly in a group, in favorable and complex meteorological conditions, during which the crews practice the tactics and techniques of formation take-off and landing on unsecured terrain and the execution of maneuvers by the flight of a helicopter squadron.
In parallel, the training of the technical staff of all specialties for the implementation of preparatory and pre-flight activities, which include specialist technical inspections of helicopters and checking the functioning of engines, radio-navigation equipment and weapons, is also carried out.
The flight and technical staff will continue with combat training with live firing at ground targets, which will round off this cycle of training in the squadron.
The anti-armor helicopter squadron from the 98th Air Force Brigade is based at the Airfield Morava in Lađevci and its main purpose is aerial fire support of ground and special force units during operations.
