on the occasion of November 16, Army Day
I congratulate all members of the Army on November 16, Service Day.
Walking in the footsteps of heroes who, with unwavering faith and hope, on November 16, 1914, fought on Kolubara for the freedom of their homeland, for 109 years, you have successfully preserved the memory and heritage of the Army Service.
The Army as the most numerous, the most equipped service of the Serbian Armed Forces, with an excellent organization, careful selection of personnel and demanding training manages to successfully respond to all the challenges set by the tasks and missions assigned to you.
In the past period, the members of your units proved that, despite numerous pressures and provocations they were exposed to, especially when securing the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija and controlling the Ground Safety Zone, nothing could break their steel will and high level of professionalism in the protection of the state territory and citizens of the Republic of Serbia, wherever they are.
In continuation of the initiated reforms, as a key factor of the Serbian Armed Forces in the modern military organization, according to the adopted, tested and confirmed international standards and criteria, as before, you will always have the support of the state.
I congratulate you on the holiday, confident that you will continue to make an exceptional contribution to the development of your Service in the future, the security of every citizen and the stability of the Republic of Serbia as a whole.
